2 Year Provision

Valley Park School now has nursery provision to accomodate children from the age of 2.

The experiences your child gains during these early stages are vital in their development and this opportunity will have a positive impact and teach your child the essential skills of play, social and emotional development, making relationships, communication, language and physical development.

Your two year old will be entitled to 15 hours per week of free early learning and child care if you receive one of the following;

·        Income Support

·        Income based Jobseekers Allowance

·        Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190

·        Income related Employment and Support Allowance

·        Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

·        The guarantee element of the State Pension Credit

If you think your child is entitled to these 15 hours free child care, simply call

0114 273 4567 and give your national insurance number.  Alternatively you could drop in to Howden House, Union Street (close to the Peace Gardens).

From this initial contact you should be sent a letter to confirm your entitlement.  This letter should be brought into school’s main reception, the Children's Centre reception or passed onto Lisa Hindley.
